Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Fleet: Vehicles, Motorbikes, Trailers, Amphibious Transport: Supply and delivery of adventure type motorcycle(s) to the City of Cape Town. Specifications: - All road legal motorcycle(s) must have their first license and registration with respect to the National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996) (as Amended) in the name of the City of Cape Town such that their legal status is not “second hand”; - Only 1st time registration required in respect of item 1 of Pricing Schedule with respect to the National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996) (as Amended) in the name of the City of Cape Town such that their legal status is not “second hand”; - All road legal motorcycle(s) must be supplied and delivered to the City of Cape Town’s site with registration and license papers displaying the City of Cape Town as the registered owner as well as fitted with number plates; - The supplier must guarantee that all motorcycle(s) supplied under this RFQ are brand new and unused. Furthermore, the insurance of items against loss or damage incidental to manufacture or acquisition, transportation, storage and delivery will be the responsibility of the supplier; - The City of Cape Town will not take possession of any motorcycle exceeding 500km on the odometer of the vehicle at the time of delivery, unless such a motorcycle needed to be moved for conversion or the fitment of accessories; - Any damaged items as a result of manufacture or acquisition, transportation, storage and delivery must be replaced with new and unused items. Repair to damaged items will not be accepted; - The supplier shall have access to fully equipped facilities within the geographical boundaries of the City of Cape Town, for the service, maintenance and repair of the motorcycles offered; - The motorcycle(s) must be delivered to the City of Cape Town with at least a quarter tank of fuel.
