NACOSA hereby invites community-based organisations interested in strengthening their organisations to apply to be considered for training, mentoring and technical assistance: Capacity Building for Organisations. Scope: For the capacity building, selected organisations will receive training, mentoring, coaching and technical support over an 18-month period. Based on the organisation’s needs, specific staff members will be required to attend and complete the planned training and mentoring over the period, which may include: • Accredited training on HIV Testing Services (HTS) and HIV Prevention and Adherence support training for programme implementing staff aligned with National Department of Health Standards. Organisations will also receive learner and workplace mentor support to ensure that learners are found competent in these modules. • Non-accredited organisational development training. The topics covered will be determined by organisational need but could include Risk Management, planning for NPO Sustainability, Governance and Leadership, Financial Management, Procurement and Supply Management, Monitoring and Evaluation and Human Resource Management. Management, Finance, M&E and Human Resource Management staff will be selected to attend and complete this training. • Programmatic training for implementing staff on TB awareness and screening, stigma and discrimination and key population sensitization from a human rights-based approach. • Monthly on-site/virtual mentoring, coaching or technical assistance to strengthen their organisational and programme capacity. • Where applicable, support to become Department of Health-compliant and accredited nonmedical HTS sites, support to establish adherence support groups, support in delivering evidence-based HIV and TB Prevention programmes and conduct TB screening. • Attend quarterly district and/or provincial consultative meetings to strengthen networking, coordination, learning from one another, accountability and advocacy.
