Addendum: Amendment to Closing date: Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Wireless System upgrade for Transnet SOC limited, at the Port of Port Elizabeth Multi-Purpose Terminal as a once off purchase. Scope of work: The Service Provider shall upgrade the existing wireless system meeting the following requirements: The wireless system shall be supplied, delivered, installed and configured with the following requirements: - 2 x Tippler (Client Point Switch) Wireless Connection to SCADA Access Point; - 2 x Stackers (Client Point Switch) Wireless Connection to SCADA Access Point; - 3 x Reclaimers (Client Point Switch) - Wireless Connection to SCADA Access Point; - 2 x Ship Loaders (Client Point Switch) Wireless Connection to SCADA Access Point; - 3 x Tower (Access Point Switch) Wireless Connection on the SCADA; - 12 x Switches; - The access and client wireless switches shall have plugs to allow for data storage and backup of the configuration this is to allow speedy replacement in event of failure; - The wireless system shall comply with IEEE 802.11 standard for local area network (LAN); - The wireless system shall be reliable to meet outdoor and harsh environments; - The required wireless system shall include all accessories such as Rcoax and cabling technology; - The Service Provider shall replace all interface plugs and connectors; - The Service Provider shall ensure that signal strength heat map is analyzed, and the best solution is provided; - The supplied wireless components shall have a protection class of IP65 or more; - The wireless system shall be provided with an industrial security function that supports plant operations and protects against any cyber threats. The Antennas selected to cover all operational sectors of machines shall have the following requirements: - Highly Directional antenna combination at Control Tower/Machines (Access Switch Point); - Omni-Directional antenna combination on machines (Client Point Switch); - Operating frequency at 5GHz. The Service Provider must supply, deliver, and install Eight (x 8) stainless steel 316 panels for the Machines and Tower switches. The panels will be for the sole fit of the Scalance switches and all other required components. The upgraded wireless network system should be integrated to the existing Siemens SCADA system; S7 300 Siemens PLC, Softwares (SOFTNET S7, Simatic CFC, Simatic logon etc.), Communication (Profinet/Ethernet, Profibus, wireless and optic fire) and Siemens HMI (Human Interface).
