      4. Description of the procurement:
         

         The Arctic University of Norway UiT Narvik shall be upgraded and developed and some alterations shall therefore be carried out. The site has a gross area of 26 640 m², parts of the area shall now be altered and renovated. Most of the work will take place in the oldest part of the building from 1969, where the outer facade and roof shall be renovated, as well as internal alterations that will mainly be carried out in the theory wing. Parts of the newest section of the building from 1997 will also be affected. The affected areas shall have a modern design that contributes to it being an attractive study place.

         Currently funds are only allocated up until the draft project and preliminary project have been approved. The execution of detailed engineering design and follow-up in the construction and warranty phase, depends on our contracting authority deciding to go ahead, and that there are funds allocated and possibly the choice of contract form. For this reason, execution of the last named phases shall be options for The Directorate of Public Construction and Property.
