Quotations are hereby invited from the approved service providers for the following: Supply and installation of fifteen (15) homestead lightning conductors for Umgungundlovu District Municipality. Specification: 1. Installation of fifteen (15) lightning conductors; 2. Must protect traditional rural homestead with a combination of structures (thatched huts, corrugated iron and concrete roof tiles); 3. Must cover at least a radius ±20m; 4. Height to protect ±7 houses; 5. One (1) meter of the galvanized pipe shall be underground (depth); 6. Pipes should be galvanized steel; 7. The copper wire and lightning spikes should be copper plated not imitations; 8. The whole mast must be maintenance free; 9. Pipes must be stamped firm and straight utilizing correct tools; 10. Pipes must also be concreted to the ground utilizing concrete; 11. Corrosion resistant paint should be used to the portion of the pipe underground; 12. Galvanized steel pipe conduit for copper end point should be underground; 13. The service provider will be required to conduct a soil sensitivity test. (Offerte №108361959it)
