Specification of sterile level 4 gown: • Peel packed, reinforcement, non woven/minimum 54gsm (grams per meter square) for body, sleeves minimum 66gsm, polypropylene certification to state material mass; • Fluid repellent-certification that state fluid repellent, non- toxic, non-irritate and bacterial migration resistant in wet & dry conditions. Low linting & low flammability quantities; • Long sleeve with cuffs. Reinforcement inside in front of gown must be chest from top (neck line) running length of the gown reinforcement inside from cuff to the full length of the sleeve, sterility certification; • Contents must be wrapped in a non woven towel minimum 600 x 600mm which can be opened in a sterile manner, packed in peel package which is clearly marked with list of contents, expiry date, manufactured date/manufacturers details or branding/individually double packed hand towel medical x 2 to be included, 2 ply white, virgin pulp(contains no recycled content, lint free/high absorbency 40gsm, minimum 300mm x 200mm folded, length of gown must be approximately 3/4 length (between ankle & midcalf) to comply with SANS 53795 standard/colour blue, gown must be packaged correctly to allow sterility to be maintained when drying hands, gowning and gloving 50 units per case. • Size: XL (Length: 148cm, Width: 165cm, Neck; 65cm, Arm length: 70cm, Wrist: 8cm).
