Quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of contractor to renovate the entrance and gate at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) Steve Biko Pedestrian Entrance Gate 3. The scope of work for the project includes, but is not limited to: - Demolition and Removal: Remove existing doors, windows, signage, roofing, partitions, damaged security glass, fiberboards, and razor fencing. - Windows: Install new aluminum windows and other specified metalworks. - Wall Plaster and Paint: Apply plaster on external walls and repaint both internal and external surfaces. - Signage: Install new decorative aluminum signage as per specifications. - Outdoor Furniture: Install weather-resistant composite wood benches and DUT-branded dustbins on concrete bases. - Electrical and Lighting: Perform electrical work and add outdoor lighting around the entrance gate. - Planters and Counters: Install planters for greenery and concrete shop counters for functional use. - Security Glass: Install new toughened security glass in the existing guardhouse. - Paving: Reinstall and level paving around the gate area.
