Quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of an executive recruitment agency to assist PASA in appointing the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The successful service provider will undertake the following activities: - Review the provided draft job advert / description, and place the advert at least in a national newspaper, at the direct cost to PASA; - Based on the required qualification, experience, and ability to carry out the responsibilities of the CEO as outlined in the job description, the service provider is required to review all the applicants’ CVs and select the “long short-list” of ten (10) candidates to present to the Selection Panel; - Support the Selection Panel in selecting the short-list of 3-5 candidates; - Conduct a workshop with the Selection Panel to agree on key selection criteria, structure of interview and scoring mechanism; - Develop the interview questions and other interviewing tools and matrix; - Support the Selection Panel during interviews of the short-listed candidates including providing inputs where required; - Administration of the background and reference checks as well as psychometric tests of the short-listed candidates. The appointed service provider will use the suppliers already contracted by PASA/ CEF for this aspect of the assignment at the direct cost to PASA; - Conduct a workshop with the Selection Panel to rank the shortlisted candidates based on the interview and psychometric test results. Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Appointment of servicer provider for the provision of Traffic Information Service to SABC news and current affairs for period of three (3) years. Scope of work: - National footprint of News-related traffic and travel information for multiple media outlets on SABC News and Current Affairs across South Africa; - Regular, up-to-the-minute traffic updates on Radio, TV and Online/Digital (Website/App/social media etc) platforms; - Professional and energetic on-air experience, presence and delivery; - Live and recorded voice reports on Radio; - Live voice reports with graphics on TV; - Access to traffic and travel-related information from a website for content transformation into broadcast format and language (including multilingualism) for audiences; - Data feed (i.e. XML/RSS) for SABC News’ website/s, SABC Television Graphics System, Mobile App, including SABC News OTT (SABC+ etc) and digital/social media platforms; - Accuracy, credibility and trust are critical; - Must have access to various reliable and accurate sources of traffic and travel information e.g. SANRAL, SAPS, emergency services, airports, trains, including public input etc; - Must have an IP recording/recorded facility on own website and social media feeds, including audio-visual content and any future updated relevant mode to record; - SABC News and Current Affairs must be able to tweet directly from the service provider’s website and social media/Twitter account/s onto its own handles; - Live audio-visual reports and crossings with webcam, graphics and footage via video conferencing/collaboration platforms/SRT feed etc; - Webcam/camera/video quality on conferencing platform must be full HD at 1920 x 1080; - Minimum contribution bandwidth from the service provider’s premises to SABC must be 6Mbs; - All graphics and blocks must be aligned, meaning the arrangement of various items in relation to the various borders or edges of the allowable area; - The contribution computer must only be on a wired network and not WIFI; - Must have a phone, social media and website service for public/audience input via voice and text, as well as audio-visual contributions, which will enable SABC News to create its own internal traffic news site or public traffic news feed; - Provision of original images and videos on major and phenomenal traffic incidents (such as weather-related ones and crashes) would be ideal as part of content offering; - Occasional or planned (i.e. weekly or bi-monthly) interactive, digital lives to drive engagement, particularly where traffic incidents are linked to newsworthy stories and major events; - Traffic ticker - text-based auto updates on digital platforms in the form of a widget or plugin that is integrated via API or RSS.
