Bids are hereby invited for the appointment of a contractor for the installation and maintenance of a hybrid rooftop photovoltaic solar system at the Pretoria National Botanical Garden. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: - Install solar panel mounting structurers on the roof space for the Herbarium and Biodiversity Centre Buildings at the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens; - Install 200 x 550W Tier 1 solar panels on the roof space for the Herbarium; - Install 200 x 550W Tier 1 solar panels on the roof space for the Biodiversity Centre Building; - Install new DC cabling and earthing cables from the solar panels to the DC protection boxes and from the DC protection boxes to the inverters including cable trays and wireways; - Install new 2 x 50kW hybrid inverters with WIFI connectivity for the Herbarium and 2 x 50kW hybrid inverters with WIFI connectivity for the Biodiversity Centre; - Install 160kWh battery storage for the Herbarium and 160kWh Battery storage for the Biodiversity Centre inclusive of cabling, trunking and fused battery disconnectors; - Install the associated AC cabling and AC protection for both buildings; - Install earthing and lightning protection for the solar plant in both buildings; - Commission the new solar plants.
