Scope of work: • Identifying all current problems/challenges regarding the website; • Backup of current website, with all PDFs and images (JPGs, etc.) as well as the hyperlinks to them included, in the data cloud; • Provision of three (3) new redesigns for the website (for consideration by the ATM management), with the homepage remaining a dynamic page on which new posts are made and layout options to better display the current text in static pages. It will also have to include a pop-up link to subscribe to the electronic newsletter; • Keeping WordPress as content management software and Jetpack for statistics and retention of current two addresses that lead visitors to one website called taalmuseum.co; • Upgrade of all passwords, tightening of general security and acquisition of, among other things, an SSL certificate; • Ensuring full bilingualism (Afrikaans and English) of all options/versions of the website"s pages, search functions, etc. as well as consideration of more languages in the near future (at least isiXhosa); • Cleaning up unnecessary and/or duplicate files and reducing website data size to make it faster; • Make it easier for people visiting the website via smartphones or other mobile devices, especially if they struggle with data; • Improved links from website to social media; • Content should be easily and fully printable for people who want to use it for research purposes; Provision of sufficient bandwidth for future extensions to the website; • The determination of a retention fee to perform monthly maintenance work as needed and to be available if something goes wrong with the website. It also includes possible ad-hoc training for ATM staff who have to post and make changes to the website"s content.
