Proposals and solutions are requested from service providers that have the relevant experience and expertise to install network cabling and fibre splicing. The project will be implemented at Ngqeleni Unit workshop. To be supplied by service provider: The service provider shall supply the necessary equipment, tools and labour materials, personnel, protecting clothing and transport required for the proper completion of the project. Information to be obtained onsite: The service provider shall visit municipal site of the proposed work and familiarize themselves with the nature of work, the condition under which the work is to be performed, the means of access to the site, any limitations or other authorities and in general with all matters that may influence or affect the contract and shall be deemed to have allowed in this proposal for any additional cost involved due to the foregoing as no claims for any extras in connection with the position or nature of work will be entertained. Scope: The scope includes but not limited to the following activities: Ground floor: • 5 X supply and installation of network points - latest UTP category, testing and labelling; supply of patch leads and fly leads (Include trunking), wall mount socket RJ45 only, white in colour; • 1 X supply and installation of 16 port rack mountable patch panel; • 1 X supply and installation of rack mountable brush panel; • Supply, installation, splicing and testing of 8 core fibre backbone from ground floor to first floor 30m distance. Determine the best cable routing considering environmental and safety issues. Provide necessary equipment and labour for your proposed cable routing; • Supply of SFPs; • Supply of fibre patch leads; • Supply of 9U swing frame wall mount network cabinet with five way multi plug and fan; • Installation of 9U network cabinet; • Supply and installation of power plug from the main DB to the cabinet; • Supply, installation, splicing and testing of 8 core fibre network link between two buildings (from new building to workshop): 70M apart, determine the best cable routing considering environmental and safety issues, provide necessary equipment and labour for your proposed cable routing; • Supply of SFPs; • Supply of fibre patch leads. First floor: • 10 X supply and installation of network points - latest UTP category, testing and labelling; supply of patch leads and fly leads (Include trunking), wall mount socket RJ45 only, white in colour; • 1 X supply and installation of 16 port rack mountable patch panel; • 1 X supply and installation of rack mountable brush panel; • Supply of 9U swing frame wall mount network cabinet with five way multi plug and fan; • Installation of 9U network cabinet; • Supply and installation of power plug from the main DB to the cabinet; • Supply and installation of splicing tray at ground floor and first floor cabinets; • The price must include disbursements; • Provide project plan and project report; • Provide skills transfer for ICT staff.
